KPMG Building. Amsterdam, The Netherlands (2009)

The European Headquarters of the KPMG accounting firm in Amsterdam was designed by the architect Marcel Vd Schalk. This impressive unique looking building stands out thanks to its striking shape and combination of glass and 10,000 sqm of stone exterior. The architect was looking to achieve a modern look and picked the Line Chiseled finish, in Jerusalem Gold. This finish combines traditional and modern production techniques, which are perceived also by this design. The glass running throughout the height of the building exposing the symmetrical stair cases, along with the linear but yet warm and natural look of the Jerusalem Limestone make a spectacular and exclusive contrast.
