Bank of America Lobby. NY, NY (2007)

This striking award winning lobby being edgy and unique is definitely a stopper. Cook and Fox architects were looking to achieve an entrance to this highly reputable bank that will be difficult to forget. The limestone chosen for the wall cladding was the Ramon Grey, which was cut in three different thicknesses and random sizes, creating this interesting height contrast being affected by shadows and lighting. The combination of a natural Jerusalem Limestone and a contemporary design supports the organization’s mission and values, being traditional and stable as well as modern and innovative. This project has won various awards, including the MIA’s 2009 pinnacle award.
