The “EGM Architect” group who was responsible for the planning and design of this hospital in Rotterdam, was aiming to achieve a clean and modern look. Aesthetics were a prime value and despite of it being a hospital, the natural warm look of Jerusalem Stone appealed to the designers. The light background and natural movement and characteristics of the Jerusalem Desert limestone fulfilled their vision and the main lobby and stairs of the hospital were paved in a large honed modern pattern. The look achieved complements the general clean and sharp design of the hospital.
