Metropolitan Museum of Art. NY, NY (2008)

The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City is one of the world’s biggest and most famous museums, known for its lavish art collections. In 2008, it was decided to renovate the American Wing, being the most prestigious and central wing of the museum. KRJDA Architects were looking to achieve an inspiring flooring surface and fell in love with the softness and elegance of our Jerusalem Gold limestone. The design consisted of big 100x100cm tiles in a honed finish, which were single handedly picked by the project inspector at Grebelsky’s factory.  The golden tiles fill the space beautifully and provide a prestigious but warm feel to the new Wing.
